Teaching India runs structured 6β12 month tutoring and mentoring programs that bridge the gap between education and employment for underprivileged youth across India.
Teaching India was founded on a simple conviction: that a child's circumstances at birth should not determine the ceiling of their ambition. Across India, millions of bright students lack access to quality tutoring, career guidance, and professional networks that their peers in privileged schools take for granted.
Our structured 6β12 month programs pair underprivileged students with trained volunteer mentors β working professionals and educators β who deliver consistent, personalised support through to board exams, career readiness, and first employment.
We work directly with schools, colleges, and local communities to identify students who would benefit most, and we hold ourselves accountable through measurable outcomes: exam pass rates, job placements, and long-term tracking.
"The mentor didn't just help me pass my exams. She helped me believe I could."β Priya, Class XII, Pune
Each program runs for 6β12 months and is designed to meet students at a critical juncture β exams, career choices, or entering the workforce.
Structured 6β12 month tutoring in core subjects β Maths, Science, English β with mock tests, past paper practice, and exam strategy coaching for Class X and XII board exams.
Personalised career mapping, aptitude assessments, college guidance, and scholarship discovery for students navigating life after Class XII β built around their strengths, not just marks.
Practical soft-skills training: resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication, financial literacy, and digital skills β everything employers actually look for.
A curated network of working professionals, teachers, and alumni who commit to 2β4 hours per month of structured one-to-one mentoring with a matched student over 6β12 months.
Every student follows the same rigorous 6β12 month journey, with progress tracked at each stage.
Partner schools and community referrals nominate eligible students. We assess needs and match students to the right program.
Each student is matched with a volunteer mentor based on subject need, geography, and personality. We train every mentor before they begin.
Weekly structured sessions β online or in-person β with progress tracked monthly. Parents receive updates. No one falls through the cracks.
Exam results, job placement, or college admission marks the close. We track alumni for 12 months to measure long-term impact.
Whether you have 2 hours a month or a cheque to write, your contribution directly changes a student's life.
Become a mentor or classroom volunteer. We ask for a minimum 6-month commitment and 2β4 hours per month. Training provided. No teaching background required β just dedication.
