About This Program

Every student deserves a second pair of eyes on their syllabus.

The board exam is one of the most consequential moments in a young Indian's life β€” yet for millions of students in government and low-fee private schools, there is no after-school support, no tuition money, and no guidance on how to study effectively. Teaching India's Board Exam Readiness program exists to close that gap.

Each student is matched with a trained volunteer tutor who commits to a minimum 6-month engagement. Tutors are educated working professionals or postgraduates who have been through the CBSE or ICSE system themselves. We train every tutor before they begin, provide a structured syllabus calendar, and check in monthly to ensure progress is on track.

The program runs across Maths, Science, and English β€” the three subjects that most determine Class X and XII outcomes. Students also receive mock tests, past paper analysis, and a final exam strategy session in the weeks before boards.

Student Stories

In their own words.

I failed Maths in Class IX and was terrified of the board exam. My tutor spent eight months with me β€” not just on formulas, but on believing I could do it. I passed with 74%.

Arjun K. β€” Class X, Nagpur

The mock tests changed everything for me. I'd never done timed practice before. By the real exam, I already knew exactly how to approach each section.

Sneha R. β€” Class XII, Pune

My family couldn't afford tuition. Teaching India gave me a patient teacher who showed up every single week, no matter what.

Mohammed I. β€” Class X, Mumbai

English was my weakest subject. Three months in, I was actually enjoying the literature sessions. I scored 82% β€” 30 marks more than my pre-boards.

Divya M. β€” Class XII, Hyderabad

Tutor a student. Change their trajectory.

We need volunteers with strong Maths, Science, or English. No teaching experience needed β€” we train you. Minimum 6-month commitment, 4–6 hours/month.
